I love an annual.  It’s the extra really.  The getting of something more than the average.  Granted, it always came with a heftier price tag, and perhaps that forced the cancellation of the Cloak and Dagger or Power Pack you were going to buy, but it was always worth it, not just because there was more, but because annuals marked a passage of seasons.

The Twilight Zone #4.  What can I say about this comic, as it hits the stands this week, that I haven’t already said in reviews for the previous three?  Dynamite comics is on the forefront of the comic reboot business, and they’re doing it the right way, getting top talent to breathe new vibrant life into books whose rights might otherwise be moldering in a drawer in the basement of some abandoned comic warehouse somewhere.

Everyone can look back on a past event and wish it had turned out differently. Most of the ones that really tug at the emotional heartstrings are those in which we behaved poorly. (It seems for me that the blue and yellow lockers of my high school’s hallways frame nearly all of these.) There is always a moment when we can be more compassionate to others and for whatever reason choose not to be.

J. Michael Straczynski returns to one of the titles he cut his comic book teeth on, The Twilight Zone. With his history in television writing, this title works perfectly with his talents and provides an ideal vehicle for his very fast paced style of storytelling.

Someone turned back the clocks too far this Day Light Savings Time, instead of one hour time has been turned back to the 90’s. That’s obvious because Sandman is still on the racks of our local comic shops and just as amazing as ever. Is this an episode of The Twilight Zone?

Mark Waid and Chris Samnee do the monster mash in this issue of Daredevil which is a major Halloween treat however the nasty trick may be that this series is ending with issue #36. That’s right the buzz is that in just four short issues Marvel will be pulling the plug on one of its most consistently well written and engaging comic books being produced today.
