Issue 6 of Shadowman starts off immediately where we last left of with Master Darque and Baron Samedi coming to an agreement; in exchange for power the aging and almost forgotten god must kill Shadowman. Meanwhile on Earth Shadowman and Alyssa stop a group that is kidnapping children and using their nightmares to create an expensive drug called Soma.  At the same time we find out that Dr. Mirage has come in search of Dox to deliver a warning, but is it too late? Deathstroke issue #16 finishes up a 2 book arc, by the talent honed Justin Jordan, along with the handy work of Edgar Salazar. Deathstroke being one of my favorite ongoing series from the New 52 and in my overall inquiry of comics, Deathstroke for me brings on something other comics do not. Deathstroke having such a detailed origin gives this series the needed backbone, although you do not need to know any of his history to enjoy this read. Continue reading
